When Is The Best Time To Take CBD?

When Is The Best Time To Take CBD?

Modern pharmaceutical medicine is a massive net benefit to our society. Look no further than the latest advancements in treating life-threatening diseases like cancer and HIV.

Let’s put the above notion into a historical context.

In 1900, the worldwide life expectancy was 31 years old. It was only 47 in 1940. Then, by 1980, it was 61. Now, in 2024, it is over 70.

Global life expectancy has increased by 40 years over the past century and a quarter, primarily due to pharmaceutical innovations like streptomycin, vaccines, penicillin, etc.

Don’t expect those numbers to drop, either. They’re only going to continue their steady rise. Projections show life expectancy in the US to be well over 80 years by 2050.

Nonetheless, pharmaceuticals and conventional medicines, while able to cure once-fatal diseases, are not magic elixirs. Like everything in life, they have limits and boundaries. Here’s where alternative solutions like CBD come into play.

At Pakmana, we want to clarify that we’re not medical experts. This post is not medical advice but rather a discussion on optimizing CBD intake and the best times to take your dosages.

CBD Versus Pharmaceuticals

Despite the above subheader, alternative medicine and pharmaceutical medicines aren’t in competition with each other. Ideally, they can work in concert to improve and enhance wellness and long-term health.

In fact, medical doctors will sometimes recommend or prescribe alternative treatment approaches, like CBD tinctures.

Another consideration is how CBD has very few side effects.

CBD can cause moderate side effects like dry mouth (and, in extreme cases, diarrhea), but it’s generally well-tolerated. In line with its copacetic relationship with standard medicines, CBD works harmoniously with standard pharmaceuticals and interacts well with other medications (e.g., blood thinners).

Alternatively, pharmaceuticals can cause more severe side effects due to their chemical construction.

Think about all the commercials on television for medicines to treat stomach issues, mental health, etc. The list of side effects is a slippery slope of horrifying, from constipation to worsened depression symptoms to life-altering diseases.

Anecdotal evidence suggests CBD can treat stomach illnesses and mental health issues without the related risks. Many patients with these problems will try CBD to avoid less aggressive treatments.

Of course, there’s another side to that coin. While CBD works for many patients with varying conditions, it’s not guaranteed to work for you. Yet, the speculative science behind CBD increasingly suggests it can help.

Knowing CBD is safe, customers are comfortable experimenting with related products to see how to harness its healing components.

Below, we’ll explore a differentiating factor in optimizing CBD doses for their therapeutic effects: the best time to take them.

When To Take CBD Tinctures: A Timely Discussion

Spoiler: There isn’t one specific answer to this question. We wish CBD were one-size-fits-all if only to make dosing easier, more potent, and more effective for our customers.

However, timing your CBD tincture intake will come down to the following factors:

  • Why are you using CBD?
  • How long does the CBD take to affect you?
  • What is your body chemistry?

To help you hone your experimenting, we can tell you that one of our CBD tinctures absorbs under your tongue in under half a minute, and you’ll feel the effects in around 15 minutes.

So, if you’re dosing a Pakamana CBD oil tincture, take it around 15 minutes before you think you’ll need it. Admittedly, that’s still a broad instruction, but you can make it specific to your needs.

Say you’re taking CBD to help with nausea during meals, whether from medical treatments (e.g., chemotherapy) or general stomach issues. Take your CBD around a half hour before eating, just to let it set in.

Provided you’re taking CBD to manage chronic stress, consider dosing your Pakamana tincture in the morning before work (or whatever you’re doing that day).

Many people use CBD tinctures for general wellness reasons, taking a more holistic approach to the substance.

In this instance, it would help to know that CBD’s effects last between two to six hours. That’s a broad range, so you’ll need to listen to your body to determine how long each dose lasts and when you should take the next dose.

How Long Does CBD Tincture Stay In Your System?

While you’ll feel the effects of Pakamana CBD tinctures for 2 to 6 hours, our formula stays in your system for around 85 hours, equal to five half-lives or 3.5 days.

This matter might be concerning to some potential therapeutic CBD users who might be subject to drug testing for their jobs.

We can tell you that as long as hemp-derived CBD has less than 0.3% THC, it’s legal on the federal level and not a concern for drug testing.

Remove all potential problems involved in a drug-testing scenario by only taking broad-spectrum CBD.

Broad-spectrum CBD products undergo extraction processes that strip them of even trace amounts of THC.

Full-spectrum CBD can contain slightly more THC. Although, our Pakamana full-spectrum tinctures are entirely legal and don’t go above legal thresholds. Still, taking broad-spectrum tinctures will remove all doubt, offering peace of mind.

Finding The Right CBD For Your Needs: A Matter Of Quality

Timing undoubtedly will play a role in optimizing your CBD experience. Coordinating your dose with your required activity or purpose will ensure the effects kick in when needed most.

Nevertheless, timing can only take you so far. The benefits you enjoy from your CBD regimen will primarily hinge upon the quality of the tinctures you purchase.

Note how the FDA’s lack of regulation of the CBD market means lots of pretenders exist on the market. You could end up with poorly made products that don’t do justice to CBD's healing properties.

In addition to dosage timing, you’ll also need to experiment with products and brands. That way, you’ll find what works best for you.

An argument against the above points is that people want results now. Those struggling with mental health issues, for instance, need relief and don’t want to fumble around with product choices.

Fair enough. But we have some points for you to consider.

First and foremost, modern medicine also requires experimentation. For example, doctors will prescribe patients different antidepressant medications until they find the one that works, a process that can take years.

Finding the right CBD isn’t so complicated. There are telltale signs of CBD tinctures (and other products) you can trust to deliver results, such as:

  • Reliable CBD products are lab-tested and will display the Certifatelates of Analysis (COA) and Quality Assurance on the packaging or website.
  • The packaging will show the CBD and THC ratios.
  • Look for certification explicitly stating that tinctures contain an allowable amount of pesticides, solvent residues, and heavy metals.

CBD Tinctures: Now Is The Time To Start Your Regimen

When’s the right time to start a CBD regimen?

If you’re dealing with any symptoms that stand to benefit from CBD’s healing properties, now is the time to start.

We’d understand if you were hesitant—anything new is scary. Plus, we’ve spent our entire lives being told anything even remotely related to cannabis is “bad” for us.

Yet, CBD flips the old notions about cannabis and hemp-derived products on their heads.

CBD, as an alternative therapy, works in conjunction with many conventional modern medicines—not against them. It’s here to boost wellness and make people feel better.

There is a caveat, though. The CBD you purchase must come from reliable sources. Only top-quality, carefully cultivated CBD will provide the healing properties you seek.

Once you have high-quality CBD, you can count on it to deliver its promise. Then, you can fine-tune your dosage timing to optimize the associated benefits.
